There was a serious car accident in the Austrian capital Vienna on Friday around 7 p.m., which left one person seriously injured. As today.at reports, a Vienna police vehicle drove across an intersection on the left-turn lane – there was a huge crash when crossing.
The police car collided with an emergency vehicle. The car belonged to the Social Medical Service, which came from a bridge and drove into the intersection area. The officer behind the wheel of the police vehicle was seriously injured in the collision – paramedics gave the police officer emergency medical care and took him to hospital.
Three occupants of the Social Medical Service car sustained minor injuries in the crash – they also ended up in hospital. The damage to the vehicle’s sheet metal is enormous – but fortunately everyone involved in the accident escaped with their lives. Further investigations are ongoing.
