Vienna – At the end of last year, in the middle of a new wave of Covid-19, there was a dispute between the Minister of Health and the Chamber of Pharmacists: The pharmacists criticized that too little of the corona drug Paxlovid for severe cases had been purchased, department head Johannes Rauch (Greens ) referred to a seemingly inexplicable decline. On Tuesday, he once more asked the approximately 1,400 public pharmacies to fully document the use of the 130,000 ordered packs that the pharmacies have received in the past two years.
