Vienna – The new SPÖ chairman Andreas Babler might bite his teeth at the Viennese comrades with his desire for more internal party grassroots democracy. Vienna’s SPÖ state party secretary Barbara Novak confirmed in the “Press on Sunday” the skeptical attitude of the state party on such questions: “There is a reason why the statute does not provide for a member vote on personnel decisions.”
