As he begins his tenth year at the head of the university, Vincent Blondel, rector of UCLouvain, will not seek a third term. He made the announcement this Monday evening during the official back-to-school ceremony held in Brussels.
“During all these years, I have been committed body and soul to our university and to ensuring its development, with you, did he declare. It was challenging at times, but I can tell you that I loved every moment of it. It is an enormous privilege to be able to exercise the responsibility of rector, to which I will devote myself once more this year with all my energy. Ten years is a long time.
