Violation of labor laws; Licenses of nine recruiting companies have been canceled in Saudi Arabia

Riyadh: In Saudi Arabia, the licenses of nine recruiting companies that have violated labor laws have been completely canceled in the last two months. The Ministry of Human Resources is responsible for the process. The ministry also announced that the offices of 17 other organizations found to be in violation of the law have been temporarily banned.

Companies that have been found to have committed serious violations related to labor recruitment have been blacklisted and their licenses revoked. The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development took steps in the months of June and July. Most of these are companies and offices that recruit domestic workers.

Domestic workers are currently being recruited to Saudi Arabia from countries like India, Niger, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Uganda, Eritrea, Madagascar, Uzbekistan, Cambodia, Mali, South Africa and Kenya.

Recruitment from Indonesia has been approved but the process has not started. Negotiations are underway to resume recruitment from the Philippines.
