Violence by a young man in Kottarakkara Taluk Hospital, Kollam. Five people, including a doctor and a police officer, were stabbed. The doctor, who sustained serious neck injuries, was admitted to a private hospital in Thiruvananthapuram. The attack was carried out by Sandeep, a resident of Puyapally Cherukarakonam. He was shifted back to the police station.
The violence took place when the detained accused was taken for medical examination. He had a wound on his leg. Sandeep was taken to the hospital for treatment. At the hospital, he attacked the doctor and the policemen with scissors. The doctor got a deep cut on his neck.
