Viral videos of crash tests have little to do with reality – games

A double-decker bus crashes into a street lamp at a speed of 80 kilometers per hour. The bodies of the crash test dummies are thrown onto the roadway as the body of the vehicle is deformed by the force of the impact and the lamppost almost cuts the bus in two. These and similar videos are currently going viral on video platforms such as Tiktok and YouTube. Fortunately, the scenes are not real, they are simulated with software and thus find an audience of millions. But the sophisticated physics simulation has little to do with reality – and it is certainly not suitable as a purchase decision for a safe car.
