The SAR government received a notification from the Georgian government that holders of Hong Kong SAR passports can travel to Georgia without a visa and can stay up to 30 days.
The Immigration Department stated that Georgia is a country along the “One Belt, One Road” initiative. Under the “Belt and Road” initiative, the visa-free arrangement will bring convenience to holders of Hong Kong SAR passports and help strengthen tourism, cultural and economic ties between the two places.
The authorities pointed out that 169 countries/regions currently grant visa-free or visa-on-arrival treatment to holders of Hong Kong SAR passports.
