Volkswagen Group Rus announced a name change to AGR LLC / AGR Automotive Group. After the renaming, the company will continue to operate in the Russian market and will carry out a full-scale rebranding. About it informs TASS with reference to the holding.
The name change was the first step in the transformation and restart of the business following the transfer of assets to a new owner.
In May, the German automaker Volkswagen completed the sale of its Russian assets to a domestic investor, Art-Finance, which is associated with the Avilon dealer. It acquired a 100% stake in Volkswagen Group Rus LLC, Volkswagen Components and Services LLC, Scania Leasing LLC, Scania Finance LLC and Scania Insurance LLC. The transaction includes production facilities in Kaluga, distribution and following-sales business, warehouses, as well as financial relationships with all related employees.
