PRAGUE – European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has called for the expansion of nuclear energy in light of the current global political situation. “When it comes to our energy, we have to produce it ourselves,” she told the Globesec security conference in Prague. This requires more renewable energy generation, more nuclear power and greater efficiency.
