The amounts will be granted in the form of vouchers and the money comes from the European Commission.
Beneficiaries are families with more than 5 children, people unable to work and the elderly who have no support.
The vouchers can be used for home repairs and for the replacement of some electrical appliances.
The total budget for this aid amounts to 670 million euros and will reach 220,000 people.
It will be taken into account not only the family’s income for granting them, but also experts from the 2,000 social centers who will carry out investigations, according to the Minister of Labor, Marcel Boloș.
The measure is to be approved by the government and the municipalities will have to apply for funding. The voucher might reach the beneficiaries in the fall.
