Wolfsberg – The WAC has made a successful start in the qualifying group of the Bundesliga. The Carinthians prevailed 1-0 in a game with few chances once morest SV Ried thanks to a goal by Maurice Malone (75th) and thus moved four points clear of the Innviertel team at the bottom. For the hosts it was the first success under coach Manfred Schmid, in front of his home crowd there was once once more something countable for his club following six defeats.
