After the first works meetings that took place in the metal industry on Monday, it is clear: the tone, which was sharply criticized by employers, has not improved. Especially at the public works meeting of the employees of the elevator manufacturers Schindler, Otis, Kone and TK Elevator, which was held in a wash at the ÖGB headquarters, employees and works councils did not hold back their frustration: the industry’s offer of 2.5 percent plus a one-time payment of 1,050 euros is simply a “swine”.
