Waitress Adds Her Blood to Cocktails at Japanese Cafe – Life & Style

Waiters who mixed their blood in cocktails were fired.

We often hear it in our daily life that you drank my blood but the reality is a bit different because a waitress in a cafe in Japan who mixed her own blood to make a cocktail has been fired.

According to media reports, following the waiters were fired, the doctors advised the customers of the cafe to undergo a medical examination.

The cafe where customers mixed blood into their cocktails is called Mondaiji Kon Cafe, which translates as ‘Problem Child Dark Cafe’ and their theme is to hire waiters wearing dark make-up.

The incident was reported by The Street Times, citing news website Flash, according to which the cafe is located in the Susekino entertainment district of Hokkaido, Japan’s second largest island.

The cafe announced on April 2 that management had fired the employee who mixed her blood into the cocktail, while the cafe also apologized for the waitress’ inappropriate behavior.

In this regard, the cafe said that this action taken by the waiters was completely unacceptable, adding that the business would be closed for a day and all the glasses in the cafe would be replaced. The cafe opened in March with a special drink menu priced at $19 an hour.

Doctor’s Opinion on Bloodborne Diseases

Referring to the above incident, Dr. Zento Kitao said that drinking blood-mixed cocktail can cause many diseases, so customers should have their medical examination to avoid HIV, Hepatitis C, Hepatitis B and Syphilis. Get it done.

He said the risk of getting infected by drinking another person’s blood is very low, but several diseases can be transmitted, including HIV, hepatitis C, hepatitis B and syphilis.

It should be noted that there are many such themed cafes across Japan that are attracting people, while it has also inspired fashion and travel blogger LaCarmina’s book ‘Crazy, Wacky Theme Restaurants: Tokyo’.
