Wall Street skates while waiting for the hearings of the boss of the Fed

The New York Stock Exchange ended near balance on Monday, following a mostly green session, with investors pulling back ahead of congressional hearings by the chairman of the US central bank (Fed) on Tuesday and Wednesday.

According to preliminary results at the close, the Dow Jones gained 0.12% and the broader S&P 500 index rose 0.07%, while the Nasdaq fell 0.11%.
