Al-Marsad newspaper: Iranian women have published videos documenting their publicly taking off their headscarves in the streets of Tehran.
Videos circulating on social networking sites showed women removing their headscarves. While one of them appeared without a veil and exposed arms.
Iranian human rights activists are urging women to take off the veil in public places, coinciding with the National Day of the Hijab and Chastity in Iran. Which activists see as a pretext to target women and start a new wave of repression once morest the Iranian people, especially women.
It is noteworthy that the last protests in Iran once morest the veil were in 2018, and human rights groups reported that dozens of women were imprisoned in Iran because of their activism once morest the veil.
