39-year-old Mike Balogun began his boxing career only 9 years ago – too late for this sport.
The fact is that before that, the American played at a professional level in American football, speaking in NFL clubs. It’s not that Balogun’s career has been successful; he hasn’t signed professional contracts that often in his entire time in the North American league, most often speaking in the preseason.
After switching to boxing in 2014, Balogun had 20 fights and won all of them, finishing 16 ahead of schedule. His last name is translated from the language of the Yoruba people (represented mainly in Nigeria), as “field commander”.
