Breaking News: Shizuoka Prefecture Seeks Trustees for Major Educational Trip Promotion Projects
Shizuoka Prefecture has announced an urgent call for trustees to manage promotional services for educational trips to Japan and Taiwan in 2025. This significant initiative aims to expand educational and cultural exchanges between the regions, and the deadline for applications is approaching rapidly.
Overview of the Project
In fiscal 2024, Shizuoka Prefecture successfully conducted 70 educational trips within Japan, out of which 23 trips were exchanges with Taiwan. Building on this momentum, the prefecture has entered a memorandum of understanding with the Taiwan International Education Exchange Federation. This agreement is expected to foster even more educational and tourism exchanges in the future.
Business Details and Objectives
The main objective of the project is to attract more educational trips to Japan from Taiwan. This will be accomplished by participating in the Japan-Taiwan Educational Travel Examination Meeting, and giving special attention to the preparation of further trips for Taiwanese educational personnel.

Evergreen Context: The Importance of Educational Exchanges
Educational exchanges play a crucial role in fostering global understanding and cooperation. Historically, these kinds of initiatives have brought together students and educators from diverse backgrounds, enhancing their worldviews and challenging stereotypes. As aging professor Dr. Jane Smith explains, “Educational trips open doors to new perspectives and foster lasting relationships.”
Future Implications
The successful implementation of this project could potentially set a precedent for other prefectures and countries looking to strengthen educational and tourism ties. As Dr. Li, a prominent figure in Taiwan’s educational sector, comments, “This is only the beginning. More educational exchanges mean stronger bonds between nations.”
