The Indo-Pacific Command of the US Department of Defense “Pentagon” announced, “We are aware of the launch of two North Korean ballistic missiles, and are in extensive consultations with our allies and partners.”

“We have determined that the event does not pose an immediate threat to individuals, US territory, or our allies,” she said in a statement, stressing that “the missile launches demonstrate the destabilizing effect of North Korea’s illegal weapons of mass destruction and missile programs.” It pledged to reaffirm its “defense commitments to South Korea and Japan.”

And the official South Korean “Yonhap” agency reported, “The Joint Chiefs of Staff announced that North Korea launched a ballistic missile towards the East Sea, the seventh launch of its kind in two weeks.”
