Dream day for Colombian tennis at the Olympic Games. After the victory of Daniel Galán, early in the morning, Juan Sebastián Cabal and Robert Farah did not clash and also celebrated.

The ‘Colombian Power’ defeated the Spaniards Pablo Carreño and Alejandro Davidovich, with partial 6-2 and 6-4, and settled in the second round. Therefore, they spoke with the Colombian Olympic Committee about their debut.

“To be grateful for the support of all Colombia. It was a good first game, we felt comfortable on the pitch. Of course, under harsh conditions such as humidity and heat. We are adapted. We played a good game.”, they expressed.

Analyzing the engagement, Robert gave his opinion and took a detailed X-ray of the key moments and how the engagement unfolded, which ended with a joy for the tricolor ambassadors.

“A first set where we started adapting to what the rival was doing. We had never played against Fokina. We managed to break and win the set. For the second, we were more established on the court. We had to close the points. We kept a cool head.”Farah added.

Finally, Juan Sebastián stated that “The objective is clear. We set the calendar in order to arrive well. This has been the goal of the year. We want to win the gold medal. We started on the right foot and at a good level. Let’s think about the second round”, he sentenced.
