IBS:

It is a common health condition that affects the large intestine and causes cramps and pain in the abdominal area, the symptoms of which vary from person to person.

Symptoms:

1_ Diarrhea is often accompanied by blood.

2_ Constipation in the early morning.

3_ Abdominal pain and cramps.

4_ Fatigue and difficulty sleeping.

5_ Bloating and sound produced by the colon.

Relationship to mental health:

1_ Strong feelings in IBS patients, such as sadness, fear and anxiety, cause the secretion of chemicals in the brain that stimulate and irritate the pain centers in the colon.

2_ Stress also stimulates the immune system, which attacks colon cells.

Tips to reduce symptoms:

1_ Exercise because it stimulates the work of the colon naturally.

2_ Sleep because it improves mood and reduces stress.

3- Improving the quality of food.

4_ Drink enough water.

IBS patients are more likely to develop mental illnesses such as anxiety and depression during the first year of diagnosis, but this chance gradually decreases.
