He said, “This is a global war with all its characteristics, because its repercussions affect the entire world, even though the military operations take place in one place only.”
He noted that almost all countries of the world are taking sides in this dispute, while various groups of “friends” are emerging in the United Nations.
He stressed that Belgrade does not want to join either of the two teams, because this would mean that it would automatically become an opponent of one party over the other.
He stressed that Serbia will not revise its position rejecting sanctions once morest Russia at the request of third countries.
Russia’s ambassador to Serbia, Alexander Kharchenko, announced earlier that Belgrade’s sovereign position in military and political neutrality deserves respect.
