As for the further fate of the ruble, here the experts unanimously predict its weakening. According to Konstantin Selyanin, the ruble will break through the “80 per dollar” border within two to three months:
– The ruble will weaken and enter the range of 80-85 per dollar, the only question is how quickly. It was predicted that we would reach the threshold of 75-80 rubles per dollar in November-December, but it turned out in February. I think that within two or three months we will be closer to the upper limit – 80 rubles per dollar.
Vladimir Kovalev noted that the weakening will be gradual:
“Given these and other possible circumstances, the most likely is a gradual weakening of the ruble from the beginning of March towards the spring months. But if there are no shock events, the dynamics of the exchange rate is expected without very strong movements with a probable corridor of 71-78 rubles per dollar.
