The official opening of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games is on Friday, July 26, although the disciplines start on Wednesday, July 24 (men’s soccer and rugby), and Mexican athletes are looking to bring home as many gold, silver and bronze medals as possible, but where can you watch the competitions broadcast from Mexico?
The Olympic Games close on Sunday, August 11, which means we have 19 days of sporting competitions in different disciplines such as archery, synchronized swimming, gymnastics, athletics and more.
Where to watch the Paris 2024 Olympic Games LIVE? Channels, dates and times that will broadcast the sports
In Mexico, there are different options for watching the competitions in the capital of France: it can be via the Internet, open television, cable or streaming.
Open TV
To watch our country’s athletes on open TV, the broadcast is available on Channel 5 and Channel 9, a channel managed by Televisa’s TUDN company.
According to information shared by the television station in a recent web publication, its schedule and calendar are as follows:
- Where to watch live: Channel 5 and Channel 9
- Schedule: From 6:00 a.m., Central Mexico time.
- Broadcasts: July 26 – August 11.
Football matches, which feature Spain and start before the opening ceremony, will not be broadcast on the aforementioned TV channels.
Paris Olympics online
The 2024 Olympic Games in Mexico will be broadcast online by Claro Sports and there are a variety of options to tune in to its signal.
We have the Claro Video streaming platform with the different competitions of the Olympic Games, but it should be noted that this is from July 26, which means that the football and rugby matches before the opening will not be broadcast either.
In addition to the official app, there is also the Claro Sports YouTube channel, where you can watch four different signals; if Multiview is activated, they will all appear on the screen at the same time.
What time is the opening of the 2024 Olympic Games?
The Mexican delegation parades aboard boats on the Seine River this Friday, July 26, dressed in uniforms designed by the Men’s Fashion brand, and led by flag bearers Alejandra Orozco and Emiliano Hernández.
The time to watch the inauguration and the passage of the Mexican athletes starts at 11:30 a.m. and follow their passage alongside the Eiffel Tower.
