Who is hiding behind the Moroccan Mutris, buyer of Accor’s shares in Risma? – Young Africa

Present in Morocco for thirty years, Accor has just sold its stake (33%) in the Moroccan hotel group Risma to the investment company Mutris, at a price of 130 dirhams (12 euros) per share. The French hotelier ensures that he is not leaving the kingdom, however, where he intends to “continue to play a major role in the service of the promotion and influence of this destination in the world”.

“This corresponds to the group’s policy which consists of concentrating on its core business, namely management, by giving up the premises. Nothing changes apart from the shareholding in Risma”, comments for Young Africa Hamid Bentahar, CEO of Accor Gestion Maroc (AGM). “By capitalistically reorganizing its presence in Morocco, the group is continuing to simplify its minority stakes already underway with the sale of Orbis (Poland) shares in 2020 and H World Group (China) in 2023,” Accor announced in a press release.
