In Boliviaof the 789 cumulative cases of whooping cough, 740 are in the department of Santa Cruzwhich recorded 429 cases on Friday August 20, 2023, while Beni has 42, Chuquisaca 4, La Paz, Oruro and Pando only one case, and in these last departments the disease is already under control.
The Minister of Health urged the population this Thursday to take their children to the nearest health center in their area to fight whooping cough and expressed concern for the department of Santa Cruz, which has 21 municipalities affected by the disease . The vaccines are available in more than four thousand health establishments in the country, in addition there are brigades that go door to door in various regions.
