– The budget suffers from such a course, exporters suffer. It was clear that the time had come to gradually weaken the ruble and increase the dollar. Therefore, the Central Bank decided to indirectly create both a rise in the dollar and lower the key rate, to begin a new stage of banking regulation of monetary policy, the economist explained.
Previously, experts predicted that the ruble would start depreciating once more either in the next two months or in the second half of 2022. Analyst Alexei Fedorov told under what circumstances the ruble might start to decline.
