why Morocco is not yet qualified

Contrary to what we have read here and there, Morocco has not yet qualified for the final phase of CAN 2021 despite its 2-0 victory over the Central African Republic and his ten points on the clock. At least not mathematically qualified because, in fact, it is true that it would take a cataclysm for the Atlas Lions not to finish among the first two of their group.

For this to be the case, they would indeed have to lose their last two games against Mauritania and Burundi and that these two opponents refuel against the Central African Republic. Mauritania would then have 11 points and Burundi 10 units, like Morocco. Everything would then be decided on the balance sheet of direct confrontations and, thanks to their 3-0 away victory in the first leg, Morocco has something to see coming, unless an unlikely drop at home against the Swallows in the occasion of the last day. For the band at Vahid Halilhodzic, it is therefore a simple matter of time …

Classification : Morocco 10 points, Mauritania 5 pts, Burundi 4 pts, Central African Republic 3 pts
