Fast fashion goes secondhand – a decade ago you would have thought the latest idea from fast fashion giant Zara was a joke. Shortly before Christmas, Marta Ortega, the boss of the Spanish fashion group Inditex, announced a new online platform. It’s called “Zara Pre-Owned” and customers can now sell worn clothing from the Spanish manufacturer via the website and app. “Someone else might enjoy this,” it says. This will extend the lifespan of Zara clothing. Also on offer: a repair service.
