The night drive was taken up immediately. The driver continued to race at a very high speed in the direction of Linz/Vienna.

Rapid pursuit

Despite the powerful service vehicle, the pursuit was difficult because the driver in question continued to drive in the left lane at a speed of 235 kilometers per hour, measured by video recording and calibrated speedometer. He pushed several cars in front of him and even tried to overtake one in the third lane.

At Puckinger Berg it was over

The vehicle was stopped at “Puckinger Berg”. The driver, a 28-year-old Hungarian, was subjected to a driver and vehicle check in Ansfelden. It was found that the man was intoxicated. An alcohol test carried out on him showed a value of 1.96 per mille. During the official act it turned out that the co-driver was banned from staying. He was arrested and transferred to the Wels police detention center.
