With a team made up of 25 athletes, Venezuela is competing in the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, which opened on Wednesday and will conclude on September 8.

The information was provided on Thursday by the press department of the Venezuelan Olympic Committee (COV), which indicated that during the opening ceremony Luis Rodríguez and Lisbeli Vera carried the country’s flag.

Rodríguez and Vera are part of the para-athletics team and both hope to win medals when they compete at the Stade de France, located in Saint-Denis, France.

The national team is also made up of Rosibel Colmenares (parathletics), Paola García (parathletics), Enderson Santos (parathletics), Franyelis Vargas (parathletics), Alejandra Pérez, (parathletics), Linda Pérez (parathletics), Leonela Vera (parathletics), Luis Daniel López (parathletics), Irene Suárez (parathletics), Sele Barrios (parathletics), Edwars Varela (parathletics), Yomaira Cohen (parathletics) and Naibys Morillo (parathletics), among others.

The national representation is completed by Richard Espinoza (paracycling), Francia Jaimes (parafencing), Marcos Blanco (parajudo), Danitza Sanabria (parajudo), José Montilla (paraswimming), Belkis Mota (paraswimming), Clara Fuentes (parapower), Valeria Morales (parataekwondo), Emma Rodríguez (paratriathlete) and Roberto Quijada (paratable tennis).
