When it comes to investing, the Austrian population is conservative and in need of security. The love for classic savings products is unbroken even following the years of interest rates slump, according to a study by the banking association. As a result, 60 percent of those surveyed use savings accounts and the like when saving. A further 32 percent rely on home savings products, and 30 percent of those surveyed use the piggy bank.
