The Public Prosecutor’s Office for Economic and Corruption (WKStA) is investigating several cases of allegedly serious investment fraud. Several companies are said to have motivated investors to invest in cannabis cultivation and cryptocurrencies, causing damage of up to half a billion euros worldwide. Investors are said to have lost around 400 million euros through the so-called cannabis crowdgrowing project “Juicy Fields” in Styria. Two suspected cases of investment fraud, “My First Plant” and “EXW-Wallet”, are being investigated in Carinthia.
