Wölbitsch/Juraczka ad long-distance bus terminal: City of Vienna is putting its next project in the sand

Future project must finally be realized – city acts completely unprofessionally – constant misery in the orbit of the Wien Holding

Vienna (OTS) “After the Wien Holding Arena caused enormously negative headlines last week, the people of Vienna are now confronted with the next piece of bad news,” said club chairman Markus Wölbitsch in an initial reaction. According to current information, the city of Vienna has broken with the investor regarding the long-distance bus terminal project, which will now further delay implementation.

“It is obvious that the city of Vienna is not able to handle large-scale projects professionally – especially recently in the orbit of Wien Holding. This completely inadequate approach always sets back important projects by years, coupled with massive increases in costs,” said State Parliament President Finance Spokesman Manfred Juraczka.

It simply cannot be the case that the city government always fails with such projects. “Here too, the city councilor Hanke, who is responsible for Wien Holding, must finally fulfill his political responsibility and take action so that this project can be realized,” concluded Wölbitsch.
