Due to strong winds and a poor forecast, the first of two women’s Ski World Cup downhill runs on the Matterhorn with the finish above Cervinia (Italy), planned for Saturday, has been canceled. The lifts might not go into operation as planned in the morning, the pre-race program including a viewing was initially postponed and the race was rescheduled at 12.30 p.m. instead of 11.45 a.m. At 10:15 a.m. there was a final decision with the cancellation.
