New York – The American Michael Lang, who helped organize the legendary Woodstock Festival in 1969, is dead. Lang died of cancer in a New York hospital, as the broadcaster CNN reported on Sunday, citing a message from his family. Spokesman Michael Pagnotta confirmed the death of the music promoter, according to Billboard magazine. Lang was 77 years old.
