Work begins on the recovery of the Center for Radiotherapy and Nuclear Medicine

The governor, Karina Carpio, is carrying out various works for the rehabilitation of the Radiotherapy and Nuclear Medicine Center, located in Maracay, with infrastructure repair, waterproofing, painting and beautification tasks.

The head of the radiotherapy and nuclear medicine unit, Dr. Julio Piñuela, highlighted the importance of activating this service, as this is the only public center in the entire state for cancer patients. Likewise, he specified that approximately 600 patients per year and 60 to 65 patients per month are treated in this unit.

This Center for Radiotherapy and Nuclear Medicine Dr. Alexis Humberto Trujillo Hernández, began its activities in 2008, as part of an agreement between the governments of Argentina and Venezuela.
