Work begins on the recovery of the Center for Radiotherapy and Nuclear Medicine in Aragua

The head of the Radiotherapy and Nuclear Medicine unit located in the city of Maracay in Aragua, Julio Piñuela, announced the start of the rehabilitation of this service with infrastructure repair work, waterproofing, painting and beautification.

He also highlighted the importance of activating this service, which treats cancer patients free of charge, for which he specified that this unit treats approximately 600 patients per year and 60 to 65 patients per month.

Piñuela thanked the governor of the state Karina Carpio who, since she began her administration, has been concerned regarding reactivating this important service, a press release refers.

This Center for Radiotherapy and Nuclear Medicine Dr. Alexis Humberto Trujillo Hernández, began its activities in 2008, as part of an agreement between the governments of Argentina and Venezuela.
