Workers at the Cannes Film Festival have called a strike once morest pay and conditions.

Members of an organization called Sous Les Écrans la Deche (‘Poverty Behind the Screen’) said they did not intend to disrupt, but to draw attention to long-standing demands.

“The strike will not threaten the opening of the festival, but may disrupt it as it continues,” a spokesman told AFP.

The group said it represented regarding a hundred workers, including projectionists, programmers, press agents and ticket sellers.
