Workshop on police surveillance in neighborhoods (Marseille, November 18, 2023) – Technopolice

2023-10-28 09:50:22

While Marseille appears to be one of the privileged areas for the expansion of police surveillance systems, the Technopolice Marseille collective and La Quadrature du Net are offering a conference-workshop on the subject: from biometric registration to facial recognition through predictive policing or algorithmic video surveillance, this surveillance is directly linked to systemic racism associated with police domination which weighs on working-class neighborhoods. In this context, the challenge of this meeting is to pool knowledge and experience in this area before considering common methods of action to resist it.
