King Abdullah Medical City in Makkah Al-Mukarramah conducted more than 270 specialized operations (260 cardiac catheterization operations and 11 open-heart surgeries) for 80 beneficiaries from the guests of the Sacred House of God, during the period from the beginning of the month of Dhu al-Qi’dah until the sixth day of the month of Dhu al-Hijjah.
The Ministry of Health stated that the medical procedures provided included interventional catheterization and open heart surgery, as well as many other therapeutic services related to electrocardiography, such as implantation of pacemakers, ventricular defibrillators, and treatment of heart disorders with various modern electrocardiogram therapeutic techniques.
She stressed that this comes within the strategic plans of the medical city to harness all the specialized capabilities and energies that work around the clock to provide the best quality medical services to patients, through an advanced treatment system, with a clinical capacity of 550 beds, through a supervisory, medical, and technical workforce, and assistance at the level High level of scientific and technical qualification.
