Scuffles broke out between police and disappointed fans in several French cities, including Paris and Lyon, following the French national team lost to Argentina in the FIFA World Cup final, several French media reported.
On the Champs Elysées in Paris, the police came under fireworks and had to resort to batons to clear the street.
