World’s oldest man José Paulino Gomes has died aged 127, just a week away from celebrating his 128th birthday in Brazil.

The centenary will have gone through no less than two world wars and three pandemics! He died at his home in Corrego del Cafe in Pedra Bonita, reports L’Avenir.

José leaves behind his 25 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
