Winner of Roland-Garros in 2021, but beaten twice by Belinda Bencic in their first two confrontations before this semi-final in Estonia, the Czech won 6-7 (5/7) 7-6 (7/ 2) 6-2 following a 3h18 marathon.
Even if Belinda Bencic was 2 points from victory at 5-4 and 6-5 in the 2nd set, the success of Barbora Krejcikova is well deserved.
