The Mountaineers posted a team score of 195.35, finishing second behind Pitt’s 196.4, while Illinois State rounded out the competition with a 193.625. This meet marked the fifth consecutive time WVU has achieved a team score of 195.0 or higher, showcasing consistent improvement throughout the season.

Junior Jayden McDonnell added a season-high 9.8, and Haley Mendoza scored a 9.75, with sophomore Kaelyn Skeel rounding out the rotation with a 9.7.
Kayla Smith had a standout day, earning first place in the all-around competition with a score of 39.175, marking her second all-around score above 39.0 this weekend. Tuohy secured the vault title, with Nelson tying for second place. Mendoza and Adams tied for third on the balance beam, and Emerson Smith claimed first on the floor exercise, followed by Kayla Smith in second.
Looking ahead, the Mountaineers will compete at the 2026 Big 12 Gymnastics Championship in West Valley City, Utah, on Saturday, March 21st.
