There might have been more victims of a WWII shell explosion in the Vsevolozhsk region.

As Fontanka learned on September 19, it happened in a tent camp that a group of friends set up in the forest near the village of Elizavetinka on the evening of September 17. They saw a clearing with benches, they set up tents there and lit a fire.

At regarding 9 am on September 19, a 36-year-old participant in the hike, a resident of the village of Ilyichevo, decided to light a fire once more in the same place, and at that moment an explosion occurred. Presumably, the WWII-era shell was in the ground under the fire.

The victim, as Fontanka wrote, had shrapnel wounds – his leg was damaged at the knee joint and his cheekbone. He was taken to the hospital.
