Baihetan Hydropower Station is located on the Jinsha River at the junction of Ningnan County in Sichuan Province and Qiaojia County in Yunnan Province. It is developed and constructed by China Three Gorges Corporation with a total investment of 220 billion yuan and a total installed capacity of 16 million kilowatts. A total of 16 global stand-alone units independently developed by my country have been installed. Hydrogenerator set with maximum capacity of one million kilowatts. The main project of the power station was fully started in July 2017. The first two units have been put into operation for power generation, and all units will be put into operation for power generation in July 2022. After the power station is completed and put into operation, it will become the second largest hydropower station in the world after the Three Gorges Project.
