Yakutia Respiratory Viral Infections: Rospotrebnadzor Report and Lab Findings

In Yakutia, there is an increase in the incidence of acute respiratory viral infections by 45.5%, reports the regional Rospotrebnadzor. The epidemic threshold has not yet been exceeded.

According to the results of laboratory monitoring, viruses of influenza etiology predominantly circulate. They account for 46%. Parainfluenza viruses, RS viruses, adenoviruses, rhinoviruses, bocaviruses are also distributed – 41%. Of the positive findings, 13% are COVID-19.

In general, more than four thousand cases of acute respiratory viral infections have been registered throughout the republic, which is 10% below the epidemic threshold.
