“You left us in our arms, surrounded by so much love”

Since the beginning of May, little Giullia not even two years old had been battling leukemia. Specifically acute myeloid leukemia, a rare and serious form of blood cancer. An unequal, unfair fight for a little girl of barely 23 months old. Although the girl seemed to cling to life, the disease took her away this Sunday, November 21 after weeks spent in the hospital in Ghent.

Carried from specialist to specialist, Giullia had begun a final treatment. The latter turned out to be insufficient, once again …

This Sunday evening, on the Facebook page “The fight of Giullia”, her parents announced that the little warrior had joined the stars.

“I hate that fucking cancer”

Here is the little note left by his mother in tribute to Giullia:

“My sunshine, you came into my life on December 30, 2019, very small but full of character! From the start you showed us your strength and that wonderful smile that you constantly had. Unfortunately our life changed when we learned that you had this bloody disease. I hate that fucking cancer! “

” Why you ? Why my little baby? We fought body and soul, until the end. You were the strongest in the world, you are an example for everyone, a real warrior! My warrior to me! I love you so much with an unimaginable love! Today on November 21, you left us in our arms, surrounded by so much love. The pain is immense, horrible, my heart is destroyed. The lack is already there. I will miss you forever. But I know that you will be present wherever I go your presence will be felt. So my Giullia, my little dino, I’ll let you join these wonderful stars and find the arms of Grandma, Grandpa, Nona, Nono and your star Charlotte. They will take care of you and you will watch over us. Mom will always be there and forever with you! I love you my love of my life. We will meet again I promise you … “
