Two cameras from the estate of Hollywood star Yul Brynner fetched a total of 2.76 million euros at an auction in Vienna. The auction house Leitz Photographica Auction announced this on Saturday. The 43rd Leitz Photographica Auction took place in Vienna, with the two Leica MP-59 and MP-60 owned by Brynner leading the exhibits and each estimated at 700,000 to 800,000 euros.

Ultimately, the MP-59 brought in 1.44 million euros and the MP-60 1.32 million euros. “Both MPs secured a place in the top 10 of the most expensive cameras of all time and provided the culmination of our cross-border Yul Brynner focus,” summed up Alexander Sedlak, managing director of the auction house.
